Spoken English Trial Lesson

Why practice English speaking online with a native English speaker? Practicing with Native English speakers is the best way to master the rhythm of spoken English. If you practice with a non native English teacher you’ll discover that they are emphasising each and every word, and pronouncing words very differently to native speakers. Native English speakers tend to run their words together when speaking casually. For example, It is silly, becomes It’s silly and then It’ssilly.

Goal – Pay attention to little things like how certain rounds are pronounced by the native speaker. E.g. “r”, “th”, “v”. You will only learn small but important nuances like this when you practice English speaking online with a native speaker.

Learn a phrasal verb/slang expression or an idiom everyday (10 minutes)

If you want to take your English to the next level familiarize yourself with phrasal verbs, slang expressions and idioms. Phrasal verbs, slang and idioms add color to the English language. You can now do more than communicate an idea to a listener. You can now communicate the idea with the native-like flair that phrasal verbs, slang and idioms provide. You can now be effective but also interesting when you speak.

When you practice English speaking online, make sure you spend 10 minutes everyday expanding you vocabulary with phrasal verbs, slang and idioms. If you can learn one new phrase/expression a day, that is enough. You will add 30 new words in a month. And that is huge.
