About Spoken English Practice
Spoken English Practice provides online English language courses helping students improve English speaking skills. Classes are conducted via a video conferencing tool like Skype.
Lesson
You are required to be online and prepared for theEnglish Speaking lesson at the scheduled time.
Our website communicates time as New York City Time. It is the students responsibility to convert local time to New York City Time and make sure you book the correct times.
Technical Requirements
Spoken English classes are conducted via Skype.
You will also be required to have a Skype account and notify us of your Skype name through the online booking form.
The teacher will send a Skype invitation to the Skype account provided by the student.
A broadband internet is required to ensure good sound and video quality. In case of slow internet connection (poor audio/video quality) the teacher may ask you to switch off the camera to achieve better audio quality.
Payments
You can pay by credit card or PayPal for English Speaking classes using our secure payment gateway.
Class Cancellations
If you are unable to attend any English class in the scheduled time, you have to notice it at least 24 hours before the scheduled time.
If you cancel your lesson with less than 24 hours notice or miss it, the lesson is to be considered as if it was completed.
Lessons cannot be cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before the lesson is due to commence.
If the class cannot be completed due to technical issues with Skype or due to teacher been unavailable, the student will get an extra class at no cost.
Refunds
Our 30 day money back guarantee gives you time to make sure the classes are perfect for you.
If you decide to terminate your English Speaking course within 30 days of purchase you are entitled for a refund for the classes you have not completed.
For example, let’s say you purchased our 20 class Spoken English course ($299) and you decided to cancel after 3 classes. You will be charged for those 3 classes at $20 per class (A total of $60). You will be refunded the balance within 5-7 business days.
Privacy
a.) Using Skype for Spoken English classes
Spoken English Practice is not responsible for any data that is collected by or sent to Skype and/or Microsoft.
According to the Skype Privacy Policy, data transferred on Skype may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Microsoft or its affiliates, subsidiaries, or service providers maintain facilities.
The Skype website further states that “in this regard, or for purposes of sharing or disclosing data in accordance with this article 4, Skype reserves the right to transfer information outside of your country”.
By using Skype software, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.

b.) Communications from Spoken English Practice
Spoken English Practice may contact you via email to provide details about your purchases, class schedules and information about seasonal offers, free trial lessons etc. You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time.
